In 2008, Blondie celebrated the 30th anniversary of their breakthrough "Parallel Lines" with an album re-release. Originally issued in 1978, the album contains the band's first U.S. hit, "Heart of Glass," and has since been named on Rolling Stone's list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time," coming in at No. 140.
Debbie Harry is quite accomplished herself. She has completed five solo albums since the 1980s, including 2007's "Necessary Evil." Though her solo success is mostly overseas, Deborah Harry remains an icon in the States. Her cool brand of sex appeal, helped redefine punk in the late 1970's. She has also helped pave the way for strong, independent female artists like Madonna.
