80's icon, recording artist and actress Janet Jackson is the youngest child of the Jackson family. In 1982 at age 16, she was given recording contract with A&M and released her self-titled debut. Her career took off in 1986 with the release of her 3rd album "Control" which peaked at number one on the Billboard 200, and sold over 200,000 copies sold in one week. She is known for such 80's smash hits such as "Control", "What Have You Done for Me Lately", "When I Think of You", "Nasty", and "Rhythm Nation". She also appeared periodically on 80's shows like Fame and Diff'rent Strokes.
